Shaldon Regatta

The Daily Telegraph

1st April 2006

On Saturday the 1st of April, the day before the Oxford-Cambridge boat race, The Telegraph ran an article on the Celtic challenge long distance boat race and as an added feature details of the two other well known marathon rows were featured, The Great River race and our own Dawlish row. Although there wasn't space to feature all the details we supplied to them the paragraph was enough to elevate the race to the national readership!

Shaldon Regatta, Devon, August 20th is among the local regattas that often let visitors join rowing races: There is a gruelling annual three-and-a-half mile coastal race, with loan boats available. Be on the beach in the morning to sign on (www.shaldonregatta.co.uk)
